Roofline, gutters, gables, porches, and trim, designed around your house rather than pulled off a shelf. We measure the property, build the display to fit it, install it, keep it running all season, then take it down and store it.
✦ What You Get
We measure your roofline and build a design around the house, so the lines follow the architecture instead of fighting it.
Commercial-grade bulbs, custom-cut runs, and hidden clips. Nothing is stapled, and nothing is left dangling.
If a strand goes out, we come back and fix it at no charge. That is included, not an add-on.
We remove everything after the season and store it, so next year is a phone call rather than a project.
✦ How It Works
It starts with the quote form: your name, the address, and a phone number. We look the house up, design the display around it, and text you a design of your house with three priced options, typically within 20 minutes. Uploading a photo of the house takes $25 off the install, because a straight-on shot of the front elevation is exactly what we need to design from.
Pick an option and we lock in an install date. On the day, the crew arrives with runs already cut to your roofline from the design, so most of the time on site is spent hanging rather than measuring. Most single-family homes are finished in a single day; larger properties with tree wrapping and landscape lighting typically take two. Nothing is nailed, screwed or stapled into the house: everything hangs from clips that come off clean in January.
Through the season the display is ours to keep running. If a strand goes dark or a section comes loose in a storm, you call or text and we come back and fix it at no charge. After the holidays we reach out to schedule takedown, remove every light, clip and cord, pack it by run, and store it off-site. Next year is a phone call, not a project.
✦ Custom-Cut, Explained
A box-store strand comes in a fixed length with the bulbs spaced however the factory spaced them. To cover a roofline you join several together, end up a yard long or a yard short at the corner, and hide the extra behind a downspout. Each join is a connection that can fail, and the spacing wanders wherever two strands meet.
Custom-cut means we start from commercial-grade light line and cut each run to the exact length of the roofline segment it will hang on, so the run begins and ends where the architecture does: at the corner, the gable peak, the end of the porch. Bulb spacing stays even across the whole house, there is no coil of surplus wire to hide, and far fewer connections sit outside in the weather for eight weeks. It is more work to prepare than opening a box, which is part of what you are paying for, and it is the main reason a professional install looks finished from the street in a way a weekend project rarely does.
Runs are packed and stored labeled by segment, so the same display goes back up in the same place next year.
✦ Roof Types
Asphalt shingles and gutters are the straightforward case: the runs clip to the gutter lip and the install moves quickly. A few situations change the approach or the time involved, and we size them up in the design rather than discover them on the ladder.
How these factors move the number is laid out on the pricing page, with the three tiers most homes fall into.
✦ When to Book
Installs run from early fall through the holidays, and the calendar fills from the front. Booking by October gets you a choice of dates; pre-Thanksgiving slots are the first to go, especially for larger properties. We take bookings year-round. Permanent LED systems are the exception: they are not tied to the holiday calendar, so they can go up whenever suits you.
✦ Residential Questions
Residential holiday lighting in Louisville typically ranges from $750 to $4,500: a single-story roofline at the low end, a two-story home with gables, columns and porch in the middle, and larger homes with trees and landscape at the top. The final number depends on the size of your home, the type of lights (traditional vs. permanent LED), and the complexity of the design. We quote every job upfront with no obligation. We recommend booking by October to secure your preferred installation date. Our schedule fills fast, especially for November installs. We take bookings year-round, so the earlier the better.
